Dear Seniors,

Congratulations on making it through high school! You finally finished a tough four years of learning. College will be different. Without a doubt, there will be new experiences. Keep a few things in mind when you pack all your belongings.

First; Nobody cares about your past. Whether you were the varsity
football captain, or if you were picked on unmercifully, it will not matter. Don’t
use your past to make friends, because nobody will give a cr*p. It’s a fresh
new start.

Second; Broken flip-flops are fine. With all the financial troubles and
irresponsibilities, you are bound to lose your stuff. Your belongings will break,
get lost, get stolen, and wear out. Don’t worry about it. Be happy with broken,
mismatched flip-flops, because that is what you’ll be wearing for the next four
years.

Third; Nicknames are forever. Stubs, J-man, T, Brown Bear, Poppa
Pringles, or even Eyedrops. You will be stuck with a nickname throughout
college. Enjoy that nickname because nobody will recognize your birth name in a
year. These nicknames are your symbol of friendship. Never be embarrassed of
your friends or family.

Keep all of this in mind as you try to squeeze your belongings into a dorm room that is the size of a bathroom! Have fun! Enjoy eating Ramen noodles and Kraft Macaroni and Cheese.

From,

Sarah
