Summary:

Eric Alvarez is just a regular museum worker, and when he goes to the funeral for the leader of the Atlantic Club, much commotion occurs, as the man, Samuel Williams, is missing from his coffin. Later, Eric witnesses the librarian of his museum be killed for not giving two huge men a book, and Eric finds a peculiar pebble in the book that the men were looking for. When dying, the librarian whispers two things to Eric, and Eric immediately gets involved.
Eddie is an orphan living in an orphanage, when a boy comes bursting through the doors of the orphanage, saying that one of the boys has been kidnapped and some poison gas has gone on him. Eddie is always looking for adventure, so he decides to investigate.
A random event brings Irene Dawson, Eric, and Eddie together, and with some help from a major person at the museum, they embark on a journey to stop ancient powers from rising.
