Summary:

When Hansel and Gretel are abandoned by their cruel stepmother, they must learn to take care of themselves, and each other. Facing hunger they have no choice but to trust the words of an old stranger, one who doesn't turn out to be just a caring old man.
Few search for the poor children while they are being held captive, but those who do may not be who they seem...
