Picture this, you are at a Brewers game. It is the world series and the Brewers have the chance to take it all. Thrilling right? Well, in Wisconsin you can experience this level of profession in baseball, basketball, football, as well as hockey to an extent. Wisconsin has a vast variety of sports. Ever since Craig Counsell took office as Brewers head manager in 2015 they have been doing a lot better making consistent playoff appearances in the 2018, 19, 20, and 2021 seasons. The Bucks won the NBA championship title in 2021, and the Packers although haven’t won any major titles recently, are playing fairly consistently and it is always fun to watch. In recent years we have had elites such as Giannis Antetokounmpo, Christian Yelich, and Aaron Rodgers be at the forefront of Wisconsin sports. College sports especially in Madison are a crazy atmosphere to be around. Wisconsin sports are really what make this state one of a kind.

I now want you to picture this, you are at American Family Field Ballpark. No you aren’t watching a Brewers game, you are watching a Morgan Wallen concert. Something that also makes Wisconsin great is the music. Musical stars such as Morgan Wallen play here. No you might think it’s just a concert, but Wisconsin hosts “Summerfest” which is one of the most popular music festivals in the country. You have popular venues in Milwaukee such as The Rave Eagles Club, and the Miramar Theatre which hosts a wide variety of music. Whether you like country music or the heavy metal and dubstep bass rumbling through the stereo system, you can find it somewhere in Wisconsin. Artists such as Skylar Grey have also originated from Wisconsin.

I want you to put yourself in Wisconsin for a minute. It’s 30 degrees and cold rain, the next day it is 65 degrees and sunny. You can only find this in Wisconsin. Here in this state, you experience patterns like no other. Ask any Wisconsin resident about the opening statement I just made, and they will understand. Although the winter season is unpredictable, we do experience all of the 4 seasons here. You can slide a jet-ski during the summer, or ski down mountains in the winter naturally. Because of the occasional brutal winters, it just makes the summer weather all the much more enjoyable and everlasting.

The last thing I want you to picture about Wisconsin is our culture. You can find some of the biggest farmlands, brewing companies, and heritage all in this state. Every county in Wisconsin has some feature about it that is unique. Oconomowoc, the place my family currently resides, has 140 lakes in the surrounding area. Although Milwaukee might not be the capital of our state, it has its own Brewing company: Miller. This was the Milwaukee Brewers brand for many years. And yes, I know what you are thinking. The cheese here is fantastic.

Wisconsin is one of a kind state and whether you just want a short visit, or a more permanent location, I have a strong feeling that your decision will not be regretted.
