People carve this romantic fantasy of you that just does not correspond with reality...you feel dirty, like there is something wrong with you.

 

But it is not you - it is social prejudice, it is fear of the unknown, it is a desire to fill in the silence.

 

The silence is the bloom that sustains you, fiery as the power beneath a hot air balloon - it is lucid, it is pleasant; it is as natural as the flowers that blossom a beautiful crimson outside.

 

It is who I am.

This is a piece addressing the shocking discrimination still directed towards introverts in a gregrarious-driven world that resents our presence.
