Night
Night is a beautiful, but dangerous thing. You may have stumbled across many anthologies describing its calm, serene attributes, or perhaps a descriptive tale about the stars that help alleviate fears of the dark. But few talk about the untamable, unrivaled glory of the wide expanse of black. As the diminution of light steadily disappeared under the horizon, streaks of purple and dark blue quickly blanket the sky. An inky blue turns into hues of purple until an almost ludicrous amount of black paint the sky. This is twilight, a mysterious time when the monsters emerge and people turn in for the night. But as it dives even darker, the conciliatory twinkled of stars soften it, until the sky is covered in a beaming magnificent.
The stars, of course, are simply frames to the bright moon, a creamy beacon in the night. It glows for all, its non-esoteric shine lighting the way for anyone. It only grows stronger as time wears on, midnight coming and passing with little notice as you lose yourself among the stars. Their eerie brilliance entangles you, comforts you, and cradles you in its open, misunderstood hold. Night is a mysterious creature, its dark beauty shamefully portrayed in attempts to share its wondrous existence. It comes so often, but yet, with true grit that not even the sun can outshine, the night holds all our hearts in a frozen state of awe.
