Yes, as a senior member within our development group, I am responsible for developing new software products for our company to sell. I also am responsible for supporting some of the company's web assets. The company's internet site and e-commerce sites are import sales channels.
8. What do you know now about your job that you did not know when you started your career?
In college we studied a great deal of math and computer theory. We did not study project management. In my current position I am responsible for software development and project management. Our company has a department who's main focus is to oversee and audit software development projects. As a project manager, I am responsible for maintaining and presenting detailed project plans to this group. That is not something we studied in school.
