What is a hero? A hero is someone who is brave, and courageous stands up for people also who never gives up and they stand up for their beliefs. Nelson Mandela was born in a small village of mvezo in South Africa on July 18 1918. When Mandela was a child he was really brave and strong when his father died. Also when his name was changed from trouble maker to Nelson. Mandela was also in his young adult hood because of his actions. He made sure everyone behaved in accordance with the law. He also considered himself a loyal ANC member also best hope for a united stand against apartheid. When he was 20, he enrolled at forte hare college. By studying law he might be able to help his people obtain the rights denied them by the white rulers. Also was a hero during his 28 years in prison by encouraging the prisoners to educate themselves. He was teaching a new generation of anti-apartheid activists. He knew by deepening his own knowledge of his country’s history and language he could rise above his situation and remain unchanged Also Mandela was a hero during the ANC by spirit of the nation he was a fighter for the ANC. When he fought for the ANC Mandela and the ANC leadership considered four forms of violence, sabotage, guerilla warfare, terrorism, and open revolution. In conclusion Nelson Mandela was a brave, courageous, and helpful hero. He stood up for all the Africans white and blacks he didn’t want no violent conflicts or wars between the black and white Africans. He went to prison for 28 years for breaking apartheid laws and trying to end apartheid. But when he was done with 28 years in prison and got out of prison and ended apartheid in Africa and also will be forever known in time
