I just recently finished my college application essay. Man, was it harder than I thought! The stress of knowing that the college only picks 300 students was getting to me when I got to my essay. I knew I had to make it perfect, make it stand out. I rattled my brain for days thinking about how to say what I needed to say. I wanted to make it proffesional but still have it sound like me. So I sat down with my notebook and wrote an essay. Just like that. I gave it to my mom to proof-read before I printed it; she couldn't believe that I wrote it. She said that it was very mature and that I write like I had gone to college majoring in English.
But you don't have to be good at writing to write a great paper. Just remember what the question is and don't go off topic. And remember, the college only wants 500 words or less; so get your point across and elaborate.
