We the People
Oh, what a wonderful world we live in!
I'm so glad we're not in a country with problems
Like Syria or *shudder* Africa
I am proud to be an American.
Here, we have a justice system.
Our colors wave with strength,
Blue like our officers
White like our skin
And Red like our justice system.
I am proud to be in a system where
Anyone,
Regardless of color
Has the right to be beaten down and spill the red of our great flag.
Sometimes we don't even need that crimson! Sometimes-- *cough cough*
Sorry about that!
I must've choked on my words
*chuckle* I couldn't breath for a second there...
But in any case,
is a melting pot
Here, we can melt our corneas,
Turn off the lights and be blind to race
So obviously the man
With dark skin
Marks on his neck
Or bullets in his chest--
it's all a coincidence, right?
Yet another coincidence in our country.
My country
working tirelessly
to create a more perfect union
between those like myself
and those who wear blue.
