In “Siren Song” Lynn Vogel uses imaginary creatures in a time where women had to stay at home and clean, while the men went out adventuring. Back then it was unlucky for women to get on a ship, well the crew saw her and harassed her while her father was the captain, letting her face the consequences. Then she fell off the ship and was saved by a mystical creature, a mermaid, then was turned into one herself. Afraid of what happened she tried racing back to the ship screaming but instead of screaming it was a beautiful song that forced the men to jump off and drown themselves, even her father. I really enjoyed this article because it brings you back to when you were a child with a big imagination, Thank you Lynn Vogel for bringing out my inner child.
