Feedback on Unfriending Lauren
"Unfriending Lauren" is a piece written by Natalie about a girl who decides to face her disorder, known as OCD. She had named it Lauren and given so much power to it that it has almost consumed her. Now, however, she questions it after a trip to her therapist.
I enjoy this piece, because the feelings are laid out and true. Many have the wrong idea of OCD and constantly make jokes about it while this is a real issue to the writer. She captures the struggles of the disorders in a simple, straightforward manner. Instead of constantly feeding "Lauren" power, she rises to her challenger and takes it over.
