Response to "An Ode to My Sweatpants"
I love wearing sweatpants and all the comfort they can bring you, so of course I love this poem about sweatpants. I know what it feels like to have that certain pair of sweatpants that you absolutely love to wear. This poem just catches exactly how it feels and the writing style of this is very relaxed and laid back. The author of this poem hits the nail right on the head when it comes to wearing sweatpants and it feels. Its very simple, yet detailed at the same time. “And the lazy days in the classroom because its Friday, tomorrows the weekend, I can dress up on Sunday.” I love this line of the poem the most because sometimes people have those days where they want to be lazy and wear sweatpants to school because they just don’t care about their appearance and what people think about them. They just want to be comfortable and it’s the weekend soon so who really cares? This poem is very relaxed and fun to read because its very relaxed and incredibly fun.
