My Response to "Everything Is Over"
I can totally relate to the poem, Scar Tissue by Hannah Kiel. There is so much feeling that you can almost feel the heartbreak that she felt. Her poem shows strength through heartbreak. The heartbreak a girl feels is impalpable, and she puts the heartbreak into such words that I feel that she was actually telling me how she felt as if I was her best friend. The word choice in this poem is impeccable. I love that she used my favorite word: “masochistic”.
I’ve written pieces like Scar Tissue and I can relate to the pain that Hannah felt in this poem. I’m almost one hundred percent sure that every girl, and maybe some guys, have felt that way.
