Summertime MAG
I absolutely loved this piece! Nathania did an awesome job writing it. The poem really pulls at your heart and makes you feel the pain of not being able to see a lover or friend again. You almost feel as if you are the one suffering the loss. It also points out how easily we can take words and feelings for granted. Sometimes those we love make up excuses to hurt us because they don't want to get close enough to care.
"Summertime" is also a well-chosen title, since we associate summer with new love and relaxed days with friends, but this poem shows the side we do not often see: the letdowns, sadness and broken promises. The last sentence really caught my attention, though. It is at that point that my heart broke along with Nathania's.
