Back To School Stress
Summer ended and a new school year has begun and with a new school year comes stress. The negative effects of stress can range from anxiety, depression, headaches, and heart problems.
School can be stressful and trying to deal with the stress can even be more stressful. But, how do we deal with the undesired stress?
Here are three easy ways to deal with back to school stress:
1. Meditation
Mediation is an amazing effective practice to reduce stress within ten minutes in the morning to be able to start the day off right or when ever preferred. It has been scientifically proven that meditation can give you a deep state of relaxation and a tranquil mind.
Here is how you can meditate. Start off by sitting wherever you feel comfortable in criss-cross form . Begin to start to relax your body and arms and close your eyes. Clear your mind and focus on your breathing and you will soon find yourself more relaxed and in a state of calmness.
2.Take Deep Breaths
When you are feeling stressed just take deep breaths. Deep breathing is a way to calm your mind and concentration of stress hormones in your blood.
Here are some ways that you can take deep breaths. Start by exhaling deeply through your mouth and then inhale through your nose and then lastly , hold your breath and repeat as many times as you feel.
3. Remember These words
Being under the influence of stress can be exhausting. At times it can be hard to remember to calm down to let your body and mind relax but a piece of advice that I can give is to always remember that at the end of the day everything will be okay. Think back to past situations where you were overwhelmed with stress and how after you were okay. Sometimes reminding your self that you will be okay after helps in the present moment to not be stressed and to be able to relax and feel the feeling of stress slowly slip away.
