The Teen Council MAG
The South Fitchburg Teen Council is an auxiliary of the South Fitchburg Neighborhood Association. We have come a long way during the past year. The Council started off with one kid and two adults. It was easy for me to feel outnumbered, but we began building the teen council's members and also started to plan more activities. Now the teen council has 17 active youth members and only one adult.
Our latest and greatest fund-raising activity was an airplane wash held at the municipal airport. The money raised will go to fund our "Make-A-Difference Day" project and the Senior Prom (a dance for the elderly with teens as escorts). "Make-A-Difference Day" is a national competition sponsored by USA/Today and our local newspaper. Last year we received an award for our yard-raking project for the elderly. fl
