Monsters
It looked like a ghost town. Not a soul was seen, and the eerie fog crept around every crack, every plant, and every window. The silence echoed throughout her head like thunder. She wasn’t alone. Monsters stood around every corner, waiting for her. All was still except her rumbling heart; she was stuck in a moment of perpetual fear.
BOOOOOM, The sound of thunder crashed throughout Liza’s room, waking her up. Her hands were shaking. “Calm down, it was only a dream,” she said to herself. She laid back down into her bed, staring out the window at the empty, foggy street.
