The Year of '91 i graduated high school. My name is Sandy Davis. I live in Orlando, Florida. I have long dark brown wavy hair, and a athletic and tan body. I love to write, hang out with friends and am going to school in the fall to get my journalism degree. I also spend fifty percent of my time working at a hot dog stand for minimum wage.

I liked working at coney island for the most part. It got really hot and sticky some days. It was crappy hours and crappy conditions. It was always super hot and sticky.

" hi sandy how long are you working till today?" asked Jenna

" till 8 i close again" i mumbled trying not to complain.

" oh, that really sucks" She said

" why? " i asked

" dan and conner wanted to go to the movies or do something tonight but we could just go on friday instead" she suggested

" that would work i get done by four on friday" i told her

"ok we can go to Bennys and go see a movie" she told me

Bennys was a local family resturant that served homestyle food and also had a drive-in movie theatre attached to their resturant. I was excited for friday. I always had fun when we went out with dan and conner. They weren't our boyfriends and they weren't exactly just our best guy friends either. I liked the mystery of not knowing exactly where i stood with dan.

I was never more glad when fridays came. Most fridays i spent hanging out with dan, Jenna , and conner. Me and jenna had been best friends since middle school. We had gotten ready for all our dances together, had sleep overs, and went shopping together. We had grown up more like really close sisters more than anything.

As i was getting ready, I straightened my hair and did my makeup. Jenna picked me up in her '79 volkswagen blue bug.It was a cute and classy car. " i hope there are some cute guys there tonight" says Jenna

" why? Conner isnt enough?" I asked

" that isnt going anywhere and i refuse to put all my stones in one basket" she complained

" maybe if you actually told him how you felt or did something to make him think differently of you things would be different" i told her

" Maybe , but he is my best friend and I'd rather have him as a friend than nothing at all" she told me

It was a perfect night. Conner and Jenna finally made it out of the friends zone and me and dan connected in a way we never had before.
After all of us, had pigged out on burgers and fries we took a romantic walk on the beach.

"I've always cared about you sandy. I think I've always had feelings for you i was just too afraid to admit it" he told me

I knew me and dan had always been more than friends. I was just too scared to admit it. I couldnt be scared any longer of losing something good, if it meant losing something even better.

As the sun was going down that night, we slowly kissed hoping we didnt lose the people we were, in exchange for the people we'd become.
