His Smile
He looked at me; I could feel his eyes on me. That wasn’t in a haunting or creepy way though. Our eyes met. The corners of his mouth twisted up into a smile. It wasn’t like one of the smiles that he had when he was up to no good, or when he was show-boating with his friends. No, it was different. It was better. I could tell from that smile all the emotions he felt. Happiness, peaceful, many more, but most of all, love. That smile gave me butterflies in my stomach. I smiled back at him. I tried to make him see how I felt just from my smile; but it wasn’t nearly as genuine as his. I took his had in mine, knowing that this is real. I moved closer, breathing in his scent. Finally, I leaned in and stole his kiss, knowing that wouldn’t be the last time I would do so.
