‘’Wake up, wake up Sky! Wake up, or you will be late for school!’’ said Sky’s alarm. Sky woke up, wondering why he listened to the alarm’s sounds like his mom. ‘’Guess I’m creative, after all.’’ And he trotted to the bathroom. After getting dressed and eating his breakfast, in addition to hearing his dad’s snoring while eating breakfast, he finally set off to his school, his favorite place to be. The journey didn’t take Sky long, though, he only needed to go straight for ten minutes and go right for a bit. The roads were smooth and clean, the trees on the sidewalk were clean, and the birds were chirping loudly but calmly as if they were in an orchestra. The sun was shining brightly, and Sky felt somewhat confident for the day. Nothing could ever go wrong on a happy day, or could it?

Sky is a 12-year-old boy who studies at Delta Primary and Secondary School. He is an average-height boy, has black hair brown eyes, and a friendly smile. Sky is a top student in his class and a nice and kind boy. Every person has something hidden in their appearance, though. Sky likes playing games a lot! He also has a passion for reading books and playing basketball. Sky only believes in himself as the decision-maker, so don’t force him to do anything that favors you!

Sky’s favorite place at school is the cafeteria. The cafeteria is a very clean place, surprisingly. The cafeteria is painted in blue, which represents calmness and an enjoyable experience, as the cafeteria is the only place Sky can rest and refill his energy. The chairs are neatly organized, even though some unlucky people will sit on chairs that have peanut butter left. Every morning, Sky would be the first person to go to the ‘’lunch lady’’ and get his yummy breakfast. He always goes to school early so that he doesn’t need to wait for a long time just to get cornflakes that are cold and wet.

 Luck was not in his favor today, though, as he went to the cafeteria and saw a long line in front of him. ‘’Oh boy, here we go again.’’ thought Sky. Sky estimated the time needed for him to get breakfast. ‘’Fifteen minutes! He peeked through the line and saw a huge gap that is in between two fourth graders that can skip half of the line already. He could either wait until it was his turn and get a cold sandwich, or he could break the line and get his breakfast early. ‘’Psst, Sky! If you keep waiting like that, you are no other than a wimp! Break the line and show them who’s boss!’’ said his devil. ‘’I am not a wimp so that’s a good point.’’. Sky’s angel popped up suddenly: ‘’You shouldn’t break the line, it is a bad example for the smaller kids! You don’t have to hurry anything right now!’’. ‘’I don’t care what you guys said. You guys can’t control me, so I choose to wait with no intention of anything. Goodbye, and I hope to never see you again, even though I meet you guys often’’ Sky whispered, and instantly the devil and the angel vanished. Guess Sky will wait then.

After a whole fifteen minutes, Sky is finally in front of the line. Sky was so eager to get his sandwich that he almost broke the line to get to first. Almost, not fully. When Sky was just about to get his breakfast, John, a person that Sky knew, took the place in front of Sky. John is a person in the basketball school club. Sky is in the football school club, so the two of them played at the opposite fields, but never had time to interact with each other. One thing Sky knew is that John was also a nice person like Sky, but not everyone is perfect. Maybe John was a little bit impatient today and broke the line. Sky wanted John to get back on the line. 

‘’Hey! Punch him and take his place. He had shown no respect for being a friend. You have to be careful about people around you, you will never know when they will strike!’’ Sky’s devil whispered to his right ear. 

‘’Don’t hurt him, just say to him that he is breaking the rules, and he should understand it! He is your friend, remember?’’ Sky’s angel whispered to his left ear. 

Sky, without a word, snaps, and the two annoying people snap out of existence. ‘’I have been waiting for fifteen minutes, and it is my turn, so can you wait for your turn?’’ Sky calmly said. To Sky’s surprise, John just shrugged and minded his own business. Sky was very surprised and somewhat disappointed in John. Out of nowhere, like honestly, Sky didn’t even know where Ben, John’s cousin, came by and took John’s spot. John was speechless about it. He didn’t understand why Ben would do something like that, not to mention that Ben dared to cut the line in front of John. Then John realized that Ben saw his actions, decided to copy the actions, and went to the front. He was so embarrassed, that he took his tray as fast as he could, and said to Ben: ‘’I think we should go back to the line. It’s impolite to take people’s spot suddenly.’’. As John and Ben walked back to the line, Sky saw Ben giving him a wink. Sky knew that Ben was a very smart boy. Sky gave a thumbs up, and the two smiled together as Ben walked away. 

Sky walked up to the ‘’lunch lady’’, as everyone calls her, and got his tray. As Sky walked to his table, he accidentally tripped himself, their, voice made him stop. ‘’Sky, Sky! I am sorry about what happened this morning! I saved this chocolate milk for the whole morning just for you. I hope you will enjoy it!’’. John gave Sky a cup of chocolate milk. ‘’Thank you, John. I forgive you!’’ said Sky, ‘’Do you want to go home with me in that direction?’’ John answered excitedly: ‘’Yes, I do! I live on that street! Can we go together?’’ ‘’Sure, you can!’’ said Sky. As the two were walking home, they talked about football and soccer, why do their dads snore so loud. They even promised to teach each other the sports that they like and hoped that the two friends could play the same sport together.

Sky sniffed the chocolate milk. It didn’t have the lovely smell it used to anymore. Sky took a sip. It tasted bland, as the ice in the milk had melted. But Sky could still feel a special feeling inside the chocolate. He didn’t know what it was, but what he knew was that it was unique to him. As he came back home, the sun started to set. And when Sky came home, the sky, which he likes saying ‘’himself’’ had turned yellow. The landscape had turned into sunset. He came home with a bright smile on his face, knowing that he had made a new friend. The morning had been quite bad for him, but Sky, a positive person with a warm heart, always knew that he had to overcome problems to get a happy ending at the end of the day.
