Secret
“Is the food ready yet?” I said as I looked up to the gray ceiling, questioning my mom.
A lazy voice called from around the brown counter, “Stop asking her and just wait.” Jack walked slowly towards me looking as depressed as ever.
“No, I want food now!” I scrunched my face up and looked Jack dead on in his brown eyes.
He stared back at my hazel ones for a good ten seconds before replying in an exasperated and drawn out tone, “Gosh, you’re so annoying, learn some patience.”
Oh my gosh, I can’t believe he just said that to me. “What did you just call me?”
“Are you deaf, I called you, ANNOYING!” He loudened the last word for emphasis.
That’s it. I jumped up and put my hands on his head, trying to pull the useless blob down.
With an even lazier voice he asked, “What are you doing?”
“Beating you up, obviously, isn’t that obvious?”
Jack sighed, and with a flick of his head I was on the floor, but this time I could smell the food.
