Coldplay

Coldplay emerged from Britain in 2000 with their debut album Parachutes and they became the band everyone was talking about. According to Rolling Stone, they were called “The New Radiohead” because of their influence by Thom Yorke, the lead singer of Radiohead. They are also influence by Jeff Buckley and U2, Rolling Stone says in an interview with Chris Martin. We see the U2 style lyrics in the great melodic song “Yellow” on their first album Parachutes. Coldplay went from four college friends to being Great Britain’s band of the year in 2000. Their songs are simple. Melodic. And just tend to make you happy. Similar lyrics and vibes with a few of their other albums like X
