I've only been to a few concerts over the years, but there are definitely some that stand out from others. When I arrived at the American Family stadium to see Luke Combs, I could already tell that this was going to be something special.

As we walked through the lot we passed through the people tailgating and even stopped by some peoples spots without even knowing them and they were very welcoming. It was packed out with people and I suppose that would make sense as the show was completely sold out.

After we got our pit wristbands we walked down to the floor and walked around as we listened to the openers waiting for luke. While we were there I looked back and saw all of the seats being filled up.

As the music started to play and the lights started to shine, it got very loud in the packed stadium and that’s when it all started. His openers were okay but Jordan Davis stood out from the others. He kept the crowd very engaged as we waited for Luke but his show was so good it made me forget that I was even there for Luke. Everyone knew jordans music just as well as Luke's so everyone was singing the songs word for word.

Then came the main event. it started out with one of his biggest hits, “Lovin on you”, and everyone was singing every single word. The people you met in that crowd didn't seem like strangers anymore as everyone shared the same passion for this music.

This was his first show for his new tour called “Getting old” and it didn't disappoint. He played a variety of songs, mostly his hits and some of the songs off of his latest album such as “Where the wild things are” and “Hannah Ford Road” but I think this was smart because then the people who don't keep up with him as much had a great time because there were more popular hits making it easy for fans to follow along. I thought he did a great job of placing certain songs in close order that just belonged to each other.

He had some cool short segments where he talked to the fans and talked about where he came from and the other members of the band and this really made it seem like the fans were very connected to him and his show instead of just performing the entire time. When he talked about his family it brought out emotions in him that you could visually see and somewhat relate to and that added to the atmosphere that he was giving to the crowd.

Overall the show was great and seeing him in concert really gave me a new perspective on his music. He was very entertaining to see in concert and his visuals were great highlighting the band members and song scenes and even fams in the crowd. The sound quality was amazing but that's definitely how it should be for being right up front in the pit. I definitely recommend going to see luke combs if you are a fan of his music and if you like country music in general because even with just the atmosphere, you would have an amazing experience with Luke combs at American Family field.
