American Sniper
American sniper is a book, and also a movie based on Christopher Scott Kyle, also known as Chris Kyle. Chris is most commonly known from the movie American sniper because it was a big movie that was released in 2014. American sniper has won over 10 commonly known awards such as an academy award for best sound editing.
Chris Kyle-the main character-is Americas deadliest sniper with over 160 confirmed kills. He served as a United States Navy SEAL. He also served four tours in Iraq. Chris had two children, and a wife a son named Colton, and a daughter named McKenna. Chris Kyle was shot and killed on February 2nd 2013.
I really enjoyed this movie for many reasons, one being there was always a change in tone or mood. One scene Chris could be holding his newborn baby, and in the next scene he could be fighting for his country in Iraq. There was always a sense of suspense as to what was going to happen next. From Chris being on the phone with his wife and starting to get shot at, to wondering what Chris was going to do next when he found a secret compartment full of guns whilst eating dinner at another citizen’s house.
I also like that they included near the end what his home life was like when he returned. And also how the producers added a little tribute at the end of the movie to recognize Chris’s service and how much he was appreciated throughout the world.
I would highly recommend this movie to anyone that likes a change in mood throughout the movie. And also to anyone that appreciates people sacrifice for their country.
