“Hello, it’s me Hannah Baker here, live and in stereo…” Clay Jansen didn’t know what to expect when he heard Hannah’s voice on record tapes that were dropped off at his door. Hannah had killed herself earlier and when she said that every person on that tape had to do with why she committed suicide Clay was confused. What had he ever done to Hannah?

13 Reasons Why takes place during one night. One night that changes Clay forever. The main character, Clay Jansen, is an average shy teenage boy who gets good grades, works hard to be at the top of his class, and never does anything wrong. So why would he be one of the people that made Hannah kill herself? With an extreme crush on Hannah he goes and has a good time with her at a wild party. What happens at that party changes Clay forever.
13 Reasons Why is an adult-fiction novel. Some parts with make you laugh, others will make you want to cry and most of all it’s extremely suspenseful and has characters that you can relate to.
