Eleanor and Park by Rainbow Rowell
This book has opened my mind
to how superficial human love can be
we label it with unspoken affection
we lust at the pleasant beings we see
love is not responsible for our hurts
though we think it is unfair
but love built on mere emotions
may vanish as swiftly as air
restraining love is unimaginable
for it is a human thing to do
but in your intentions answer this:
are you looking out for those people or just you?
Eleanor and Park has portrayed
that not all we can learn we read
but most times even the smallest reminder
is simply what we need
