Clay Jensen a normal teenager, a good student with a good social life. And like normal teenagers he has a crush on someone. That someone is Hannah Baker; I guess it was Hannah since Hannah has committed suicide. He always wanted to tell her but he was to shy and didn't want to get turned down. Now he will never have the chance to tell her. Hannah Baker was a girl who was picked on by almost everyone until one day it was too much for her. That’s when Clay’s life started down falling; the day Clay received 7 tapes, well 7 cassette tapes, each tape had a different number on every side 1 and 2, 3 and 4, 5 and 6, 7 and 8, 9 and 10, 11 and 12, and 13. These tapes had names and events that were in some way responsible for her death; Clay never thought that he would be responsible for her death. While listening to each cassette tape Clay discovers things he never wanted to know, things that will forever change his life and other’s lives. When listening to the tapes he runs into people that know about the tapes, and the only way to know about the tapes was if your name was on them. Every tape affects someone for a different reason and in a different way, some more than others but none the less it affects them. While reading this book watch out for the names of the people and the reasons why they are on the tapes. Also watch out for little hints of things that happened in the past or might happen in the future. This book would appeal to really anybody as long as you’re okay with reading about tragedy and death. I would give this book 5 stars, because it was a really good book that I would recommend people to read.
