The Outsiders by S.E Hinton is a book that changed the way I look and feel about people. This book is approximately 180 pages long. As I was reading the book, in my mind I was thinking how people in my class compared to the people in the book. The story is based in the early 1960’s and in Oklahoma. The main characters were the Greasers and the Socs. Among the Greasers were Johnny and Ponyboy, and the Socs were Cherry and Bob. One of the most important themes in the story was stay true to yourself.

One thing is that this book can be read by almost anyone. No matter who you are the book will touch you in one way or another. This book will change the way you look at things and even life. Some parts are more emotional than others.
