Bud not Buddy is a fictional story about young boy who is trying to find his father. A few years earlier his mother passed away and ever since then, Bud has been searching for his father. After his mom died, he and his brother were sent to live in a home till one day, when they were separated. The story takes place in Flint, Michigan around the 1930’s. Times were tough for Bud, but could he rise above it? Bud’s journey would change his life forever. The author of this book is Christopher Paul Curtis. There are 237 pages and the theme of the story would be “There isn’t a home without your family.”
Bud not Buddy is an excellent book. It is great to read for all ages. It’s sweet and heart filled but also very humorous. This book will have you laughing, page after page. I think everyone should get a chance to read this book. Overall it is a great book and is definitely one that most people would enjoy. I would give this book 4 out of 5 stars.
