The Outsiders by S.E Hinton
The Outsiders, a novel by S.E Hinton, includes Ponyboy and SodaPop the Curtis Brothers. They live in a neighborhood with all of their friends, and are called Greasers. Although they are all loyal to one another, all they get is trouble from the “socs”. Ponyboy knew what to expect from the socs, but one night things got taken too far…
The Outsiders shows a wide range of emotions from being angry, to staying loyal. It tells about how the kids from the wrong and right side of the tracks grow up in the 1960’s. Some better than others. Although they have different lives, they begin to learn that there are troubles all over. This 180 page book is a “must read”. I give this book 4.5 stars.
