The List by Siobhan Vivian
In this young adult book, every year eight girls have been chosen either the prettiest or the ugliest of their grade. No one knows who made the list and no one really cares. Once the list goes up the damage is done. Abby,Danielle,Candace,Lauren,Sarah,Bridget,Jennifer, and Margo, have been chosen this year. They all have very different reactions to the list. At the end, there is a homecoming dance, where one girl will be crowned homecoming queen.
Vivian creates very well crafted descriptive language. With every chapter, a different girl’s perspective is represented. While reading this book, the reader will not be able to put it down. The characters are the best and they are stuck up in their own way. This book is a must read.
