A Series of Unfortunate Events by Daniel Handler

Three children are looking for a place to stay after their mother and father have unexpectedly died and now the three children have to live with some of their family members until they find a home to live at. They go to live with different family members because the family members that they are living with keep dying and now they are going to have to live with their mean uncle, but the only reason of two why he really wants the children is because they have a lot of money and the only way that he can get it is to own the children.
