Mr.Popper's Penguins by Richard and Florence Atwater
From the first page of this book until the very last page of the whole one hundred-thirty eight I enjoyed every second of it. It was truly one of my top favorite choices of books. The story of this truly kind hearted man taking the first penguin to the last of the twelve was marvelous. Some animals could only dream of having a family like the Poppers were. At first it was a questionable act for Mr. Popper it was an everyday dream from reading all of his arctic books to have a penguin, or just something from the arctic that he could always have for memories sake. This though was bigger than he could handle with.
From his crazy expenses to his family’s physical health Mr. Popper was in no hurry of getting rid of his best friend –penguin Captain Cook. The ideas that he came up with during this book were priceless. From the holes in the fridge to the cellar becoming an ice rink it was brilliant ideas. The things that worried the Popper family were the money price, but they soon had nothing to worry about for the amazing acts of the new twelve members of the family would make them rich.
The Popper’s Performing Penguins was a huge success and a huge deal of this story. Traveling around the country, and making all the money was just what the family needed. Soon to think this book would have a fairy tale ending was what made this book great with such eloquent twists and turns made this book even more fantastic. I would recommend this book to anyone that asked about reading. Mr. Popper’s Penguins is a fun filled and loving journey across the country, and on my word you will not be able to put it down.
