Frost Bite; Vampire academy book 2. by Richelle Mead
My views on Frost Bite are all positive. I loved this book, genuinely. It picked up where Vampire Academy left off. For those of you who are not familiar with Vampire Academy it is about Lissa Dragomir, a Moroi princess; a mortal vampire.
The strong blend of human and vampire blood that flows through Rose Hathaway, Lissa's best friend, makes her a Dhampir; she keeps a dangerous life of protecting Lissa from the Strigoi, who live to kill.
Rose and Lissa go back to the academy, and Rose is instructed by Dimitri, whom she instantaneuously falls in love with.
What I love about this book is, that we also fall in love with the characters, Dimitri especially, because Richelle informs the reader of every detail. I love the development of the relationship between Rose and Dimitri, and the strong bond between her and Lissa. This book is filled with forbidden love, love that is not forbidden, but isn't strong enough to survive, and love that is unseen to those consumed by it. I definetly recommend Vampire Academy and Frost Bite. There are following books in the series, but I have yet to read them. I'm sure I will enjoy them also.
This book is perfect for lovers of The Vampire Diaries, House of Night and of course, The Twilight Saga.
Enjoy,
