I read the book “Nineteen Minutes” by Jodi Picoult. Jodi was born in May of 1966. She has published 2 short stories in Seventeen Magazine while she was still in college. Nineteen Minutes has become her first book to debut number one on the New York Best Sellers list. The genre for this book is fiction.

Nineteen minutes is about a boy named Peter Houghton who was picked on and beaten up throughout his time in school. One day he finally snapped and brought guns to school. He killed 10 students and injured many others in just nineteen minutes. He use to be best friends with a girl named Josie Cormier, but one day she become part of the popular crowd and no longer was friends with him.

I really enjoyed this book a lot. It was very detailed and made me feel like I was actually a part of the book at times. I would recommend this book to others. Even though it’s a long book it is worth reading. I would read other books by Jodi Picoult. She is a very good author. I have read My Sisters Keeper by her. I really enjoyed it as well.
