Whitinsville Christian School: The Place to Be
Whitinsville Christian School is a busy place, full of learning students, caring teachers, and all the amazing behind-the-scenes people who make everything happen. I love this school and all the neat people in it.
This year the theme is “One Body.” In the halls, things are changing. High-schoolers are helping out younger students. The school as a whole is acting as one body, where each member does his/her part. I think every school should have this theme, because it’s really shaping the students, teachers, and everybody else. In Romans 12:5 it says, “So in Christ we, though many, form one body and each member belongs to all the others.” This is the theme verse this year and it’s great.
All year long, the school is busy with activities. There is always a Christmas play and a spring musical directed by the new middle school principal, Mary Dykstra. They are always fun-filled and enjoyable. During the fall, winter, and spring there are a lot of sports going on. The fall sports are soccer and cross country. My favorite sport, girls’ soccer, is coached by two caring and hardworking coaches, Ms. Conway and Mrs. Styf. During the winter there is basketball and winter track. The upcoming spring seasons include baseball, softball, tennis, and track. This year WCMS is having a showcase featuring the “One Body” theme. It will be a night to remember.
Last, but certainly not least, I love the spiritual and educational growth of Whitinsville Christian School. I have matured a lot here. I’ve started caring more about my work with the help of my teachers, coaches, and parents. My spiritual walk with God has thrived these last few years. I think I can speak for everyone when I say that WCS is the place to learn. I enjoy science, reading, and writing. The teachers here help me embrace that.
In conclusion, Whitinsville Christian School encourages kids to get active, learn and prepare for the future, and have a mind set on God. If you’re looking for a new school, WCS is the place to go.
