I love my sandwiches loaded with succulent meat and topped with all sorts of toppings and sauces.  That is why I choose Picnic Basket as my go-to restaurant. Located just off of Highway 16 in Nashotah, Wisconsin, lies the 30 year-old diner.  It is very easy to get to, however parking may get a little tricky at times because there is not parking lot so street parking is necessary.

Anyways, back to the menu...there is an unlimited amount of options to choose from:   warm, hot; vegetarian, meatlovers; large, small; high in calories, low in calories--the possibilities are endless.  Although a bit cumbersome to eat, my favorite sub is by far the “aPorkalypse”. It is a sandwich loaded with three kinds of pork: ham, bacon, and pulled pork.  The meats are topped with a sweet barbeque sauce and a delicious coleslaw. All that is served up on a warm and fluffy loaf of bread. Yum!

The atmosphere of the Picnic Basket is warm and cozy.  The second you walk in the small, living-room feel greets you.  It is always a place lit up with seasonal decorations. For example, this time of year, lights, trees, and wreaths give me the Christmas feeling when I go in to eat.

The service at the Picnic Basket is exceptional.  All the employees have treated me well with the kindest attitude.  They use a sweet voice and constantly try their hardest to please me and other customers.  Food is done in no time, giving you the option of carrying out or dining in.

All in all, I have enjoyed my experience eating out at the Picnic Basket.  They have never ceased to bring out delicious food or put a smile on my face.  In my eyes, that is what I look for in a restaurant. Therefore, that is why I approve Picnic Basket as my favorite restaurant.
