‘When life gives you lemons make lemonade’
That’s what they say when life pushes you down
Life gives you lemons when things go astray
If I keep squeezing lemons then I’ll drown.
What to do when you’ve run out of water
And your tears fall on the cold floor?
Just use your tears and you will not falter
Until you feel your tears flowing no more.
What about the sugar, to sweet for me?
No sugar, no spice but salt will suffice
I have plenty for I will always see
Your lemons won’t thaw my heart cold as ice.
No more lemons, please anything but that!
My lemonade always seems to fall flat.
