How hard it is lose something you love,
I remember it was a year ago,
When I lost my dog, who is lovely as a dove.

To describe her, I would say her fur is soft as wind,
When she saw me, her eyes lit up like stars dancing in the sky,
"Why can't she see me over here," I asked; my mom said she was blind,
Back then I wished upon those stars, I wouldn't have to say goodbye.

She was a black German Shepard with pointy ears and a long snout,
That would do the most adorable thing!

Whenever she was begging, sad, scared, or put her out,
She would bring her suave face, big eyes, and bring her ears down; she was a plaything!

Her name was Sasha Dillards McKinley and she was always caused jeopardy,
I loved everything about her, the negatives and the positives, I would always abide,
She will always be in our hearts and our memories,
There was no guide or side when she died, I tried to bide, lie, deny, and hide, I was chiding, but also crying.
