Puppets: A Tale of Woe
Painted faces with tinted expressions
Do not express the music we can feel.
The strings they use encourage recession,
Until the world has become all too real.
Once unbreakable, now we are broken,
Soggy from the river of adulthood.
We cannot swim, cannot sink, outspoken,
We try not to grow up, see if we could.
Stop! Stop now! We cannot wait anymore!
Break away while we can! Escape, be free!
Every story, all the books of lore,
Help us water the knowledgeable tree.
Puppets, are what we were, dancing on strings.
Puppets, broken free, want to know all things.
