Man at its most complex

The species of man is a strange case
Those who love are afraid to permit
and those who do, are afraid to commit.
We mean something and say something else,
like media, that`s all that sells.

We run for money, forgetting health,
then to care for health, we loose all wealth.
We teach our children right from wrong,
but who are we kidding, the world hasn't caught on.

We punish him that stole the bread,
but don`t care if his children are fed.
Our children work hard to get educated,
when Bill Gates hasn't even graduated.

Technology has boomed and life is easier,
But humans are growing even lazier.
Man has reached the moon and returned,
IQ drops and we are still unconcerned.

Global warming affected December,
but our fun blinded us to remember.
Terrorism has captivated the world`s attention,
but have we even thought of its prevention?
