Hawaiian Nights

The warm air blows in my face, calming me.
The waves brush up against the sand with ease.
How could a night contain so much beauty?
After this, nothing could adequately please.

Hips that move as gracefully as the waves
With skin a tan reflection of the sun
A spreading brightness that everyone craves
The calmness in the air, makes us all one

The warmth comes from volcanoes and our hearts
Our hips and the waves continue to sway
Closer to dawn, the moon sadly departs
While the sun rises to welcome the day

The magical peace that could only be
The warm Hawaiian night setting me free

I was inspired to write this poem after my visit to Hawaii. I fell in love with the feel of the island and the atmosphere. I hope that people are able to get a sense of what I felt there, from this poem.
