I really couldnt imagine how you feel

Living in a metal box

Dreading you next meal

Wishing for a whiskey on the rocks

Wondering how your children are doing

Asking if they are okay

I know the jury is looking at you booing

but we are saying horray

We are rooting for you mom

Its going to be okay

Just keep calm

We are here to stay

Youre doing amazing

I can tell mom. Your changing

This poem is about my mother being in prison. She is an alcholic & a drug addict. Most of my work has to do with her choices impacting me and my emotions. Im currently in foster care till im 18 same with my sibling which i have 4.
