The dark night of childhood has reached its dawn.
You will sit alone never again.
Those lonely school days now forever gone.
Your friends are no longer Barbie and Ken.

Being an adult creates loneliness too,
With taxes and jobs and bills being paid.
You may not see someone smiling at you.
No one has time with money to be made.

There lives another choice most people miss.
Look for places to play, laugh, sing, and shout.
Look for dances to dance and cheeks to kiss.
Forget all your worry, trouble, and doubt.

If you choose, your life will always be yours.
Smile when it rains and enjoy the downpours.
