The Choice Was Yours
I don’t know what you were thinking that night
I couldn’t see what you held in your hands
I thought I had fixed all your wrongs to right
There’s only so much that I can withstand
Just a swig of the bottle to your lip
Giving the sickly sweet taste of poison
With each gulp shattered this fragile friendship
Your thoughts and actions tinted with toxin
Within a broken heartbeat they took you
You knew it wasn’t the only choice you had
The mistakes you made you wished to undo
You’ve crossed the fine line between good and bad
You mindlessly cut all your ties to me
You wrecked everything that once could be
