Saying Good-bye
Out of all times, this is the hardest good-bye.
I hate to leave, to see those wistful tears.
We lose our connections, but still keep our ties.
Gone is the protection, gone are those years.
Things are supposed to stay always the same
I find comfort in thinking that way.
Can’t recognize myself, it’s all just a game.
Wish my childhood wouldn’t flee, it should stay.
But going to college is the best in the world.
I’ve been waiting forever to get to this day.
Freedom forever, ideas are unfurled!
Except now it’s too much, too hard, to go away.
I tried so hard to make this year not fly
but here we are, and this is good-bye.
