Is Love Beauty?
Am I right to compare love to beauty?
Rich in colors, hopes, dreams, and some wishes?
Could love ever be such as a ruby,
In the bright sun? does thou have blemishes?
But wanting nothing more than perfection,
Love may struggle along the rocky path.
Thinking of no such thing as destruction,
Lovers wonder blindly to attract wrath
Upon themselves hardly knowing of it.
The pain comes causing thou to have much fear.
Thrashing out, getting nowhere, save the pit
Which can only make thou shed a sad tear.
True, love is a mountainous climb, but there
Is hope for true love because love is fare.
