Scar Tissue Symmetry
A liar once said "All scars heal in time."
He'd change his theory upon meeting me.
Hurt is too great fot the time to confine,
Has no finish line, ignores mournful pleas.
Beneath my skin my scars hold symmetry.
The unwavering mirror images.
My dimensions match, a brand of honesty.
They're seen by all, leaving me limited.
The unbearable pain just had to show.
'Twas such a burder to stow it away.
I did not want to carry it alone,
And thought someone with matching wounds might stay.
It's easily felt, and visibly seen.
This scar tissue that makes up my being.
