Sonnet
Light amongst the dark,
Our way of seeing.
A song so sweet, a Lark,
Its way of being.
The sun will rise,
A new day ever sane
The tides, it cries
The moon begins its wane
Willows weep,
Old and wrinkled,
Some things that creep,
Fresh dew that’s sprinkled
The things we see
Are different in the light
Life’s got a fee
A difference paid by the night
And blindly we walk
To tread on harsh ground,
We’ve learned to talk,
Words worthless, putting down.
A beginning to change,
A failure so far
Out future out of range
Life’s beyond par
Nature in civility,
death or disability.
